Voting and Methodology

The Investors Chronicle and Financial Times Wealth Awards are based on the votes of readers of Investors Chronicle magazine and readers of the Financial Times newspaper, and a panel of judges. Readers are asked to assess their wealth managers on a range of criteria including the frequency and quality of communication, the availability of specialist services and of banking services, fees, financial performance and the range of investment options on offer.

The results of the readers´ assessments will be presented to the judging panel for rubber stamping or discussion where a single clear winner has failed to emerge from the voting.

For the performance awards, wealth managers are invited to enter funds for examination by Asset Risk Consultants.

Entry requirements for investment performance based awards:

Wealth managers who wish to enter the performance based awards should complete the official entry spreadsheet (available from rosie.carr@ft.com). We require entrants to provide either an ISIN number or Lipper ID. We also require a description of the company (investment philosophy etc), investment objective of the product, basic asset allocation (equities, bonds, cash, alternatives) and benchmark.

Rankings will be based on monthly performance data, net of fees on a risk–adjusted and absolute basis.
